Milan, my hometown, has become in latest years, thanks to Expo, #aplacetobe.
Milan as a fashion, finance and food capital has now more visitors than Rome. A city where living and working is absolutely pleasant, as it is pleasant to enjoy its vast offer, from theater shows to exhibitions, to shopping.
Making a list of the best places where you can eat, sleep or relax is impossible, it would be endless. We are going to list what, according to us in Cortigiani Magazine, are the newest or always excellent.
WHERE TO EAT
Antica Trattoria della Pesa
One of the oldest restaurants in Milan, where risotto alla Milanese with osso buco and Cotoletta are always a good choice. I love risotto al salto with sautéed kidney. Excellent wines.
Viale Pasubio 10, Milan
Absolutely the best rooftop in town, located on the last floor of the DSquared building including the most innovative gym and spa at the moment, which we’ll discuss later. Two pools surround the restaurant and the American bar. One of the most beautiful locations I’ve ever seen. You can eat at any time. Do not miss an aperitivo at sunset and the traditional dishes revisited in modernity by Chef Elio Sironi.
Via Ceresio 7, Milan
In Galleria del Corso, enshrined in the Excelsior building, but completely independent. The third born of the creative mind of Enrico Bonocore, formerly Langosteria and Langosteria Bistrò. A large outside section in the gallery, raw fish of excellent level, courses prepared by chef Domenico Soranno. Impressive wines, excellent champagne. Kitchen open from 12 pm to 12 am. Do not miss it at least for an aperitivo o for tea.

Sushi fusion experience with one Michelin star, absolutely deserved. Sushi-master Haruo Ichikawa turns the excellent raw materials into complete masterpieces exploding in the mouth. Super high-level patisserie, as well as wines and ambiance.
Via Piero della Francesca 74

The most successful pizza in Milan of the past few months, after opening in Turin and Florence. Sourdough, long double rising, organic stone-milled half-whole flours, dough conceived for their toppings, interesting matches, excellent ingredient choice. In one of the liveliest neighborhood in town: Isola.
Via Sebenico 21, Milan
